Midland Industries is Launching a New Website!
At Midland Industries, we are continually looking for ways to bring innovation and solutions to you to help make managing your business easier. Tools and services like the recently released Inventory API are ways in which we are working hard to better serve you! We have more new and exciting enhancements planned, however, to be able to bring those features to you, we need to make sure we are starting off on a strong foundation.
Over the next few weeks, we are going to begin the process of migrating all our customers to our new web platform. While initially, the website’s look and feel should be familiar to you, in the background, we will run on an updated platform that will allow us to bring you new features and functionality soon.
What does “migration” mean?
To get all customers on the new website, we are going to need to move all current customer accounts and activate them on the new web platform. This means that over a period of time, all user accounts will be activated on the new website and when you login, you will be on the new platform. As part of the migration, we will carry over your information and order history, however, please note that unpurchased items in your cart will not be carried over.
What can I expect when my account is migrated?
Here is what you can expect when your account gets migrated:
If you use your email address as your loginID/CustomerID: You will receive an email that contains an activation link to the new website. You will continue to use your email as your login ID/Username but will need to create a new password.
If you use your customerID as your loginID/Username: The next time you try to log into your account, you will be prompted to create a new username using an email address. You will then receive an activation email where you will set your new password.
When is my account going to be migrated?
In order to minimize disruptions to you and your business, customer accounts will be migrated over a period of time. You will receive an email that will contain the specific timeframe for when your account is scheduled to be migrated.
Do I need to wait until my migration date to use the new website?
No! In fact, we encourage you to activate your account on the new website as soon as possible! Please proceed to the login page to proactively activate your account.
What if I don’t get an activation email?
Don’t worry- if you miss the first activation email, we will send out periodic reminders with the activation link. Additionally, you can always navigate to the Account Login Page and activate your account on the site when you are ready. If you have any questions or issues, our customer service team is standing by to help.
What will be different on the new website?
Initially, the new website will look and feel very similar to the one you are used to using today. This is intentional to minimize the impact as we get all customers moved over to the new platform. However, the new website will position us to be able to implement new features and functionality in the future to better serve you.
Will my order history and items in my cart move over to the new website?
Your order history will be retained and carried over to the new website. However, if there are any unpurchased items in your cart, they will not be carried over. Please be sure to complete any purchases before the migration date or you can simply re-add them once you are on the new website.
I noticed there is a new web address- new.midlandindustries.com. Is this the new site and will www.midlandindustries.com still work?
Yes, new.midlandindustries.com is the new website that we are launching. We will use this web address for a period of time while customers get used to the new site. www.midlandindustries.com will continue to work for the old site while we are getting all customers moved over to the new platform. When the migration is complete, we will consolidate all of our sites. If you go to www.midlandindustries.com, don’t worry- you will get redirected to the new site and all of your bookmarks should still work.
Will I be able to login to the old website?
