Ranging in diameter from 5/16 to 1-1/2” in brass, steel, and aluminum materials, a vast range of 266 new hose ferrules have been added to MidlandIndustries hose termination catalog. For use with hose barbs, these ferrules create OEM-style crimped terminations on flexible hose and some tubing. The resulting hose assemblies are ideal for conveying compressed shop air, coolants, and low-pressure liquids and gasses. Assembly is easy using a manual benchtop crimper (like Midland’s #308070) or larger hydraulic crimpers. Smaller diameter ferrule and barb assemblies create ideal shop airlines, whereas larger diameter equivalents are ideal for creating garden hose and industrial hose assemblies. Additionally, assembling hose ends with a crimped ferrule negates the use of a hose clamp, which is largely seen as a temporary solution that can snag and damage surrounding components (with the worm drive clamp protruding from the hose diameter).
